There's something wrong with the upload box that opens from the BuddyPress frontend -- atm, an avatar can only be set from the backend; I'll have a look at the map issue -- the default value is not displaying correctly, apparently.

The .pot will ship with the next version.

Great! What I've noticed sofar is that after editing and republishing an event with a map the checkbox 'display map' is unchecked and map is not showing (should stay checked of course). Also I can't figure out how to add an avatar to an event, but maybe it's me... I've succeeded once when adding a new event, but adding an avatar to an already existing event doesn't work for me. Will try and test some more later. When the .pot is there, I will send you the Dutch (nl_NL) po/mo.

Hmm -- just had a look. This is yet another bug caused by the hooks I added (I ended up filtering the wrong stuff at most places, apparently). I'll get this fixed in 0.1.2 -- it's a one word edit at line 312:

$custom = apply_filters( 'ep_repeat_event_meta', $custom, $new_post, $event );

is what it should be.

Sorry, was my own error and it's now resolved.

But I'm getting this error when adding an event with the latest version:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/glowstix/public_html/wp-content/plugins/eventpress/controllers/wp.php on line 314

it also lists a couple of other line numbers and is stuck in an infinite loop

feel free to try and add an event on my site to see it

Could you elaborate a bit on what you mean by "wrap a around the wrapper"?

Hey Kunal,

Excellent work. I've been trying to get Jet Event System for Buddypress working for a while now and it's full of language issues and strange coding. Your plugin is way more organized!

I don't actually know a lot about programming, so I have a basic question. I need to be able to edit the output (i.e. what the page looks like at http://www.kingstonnexus.ca/events/red-box-dd-game-day/home/) because I am using an unusual theme.

Basically what I need to do is wrap a around the wrapper, but i don't know where within your plugin I need to edit files. Can you help me?

Thanks

Thanks. Will get that fixed! That could be the reason -- I did a namespace change from event to ep_event pretty late into the plugin, and apparently missed a few.

Error in template page-events-list.php
line 6:
query_posts( 'post_type=<b>event</b>' );
should be
query_posts( 'post_type=<b>ep_event</b>' );

And the theme override error only concerns the single-event.php file.
Could it be the same problem? Since the custom_type is ep_event and not event?

I seem to remember that the WP3.0 template engin looks for single-[custom_type_slug].php in the theme folder.

EventPress should actually be checking in the current theme folder first; if it isn't that's a bug! As long as you have files with the same name in your original theme folder, they should not be getting overwritten. As for vanilla templates -- like I said, I'll be doing a complete EventPress centered theme for v2, but that is going to take some time. From a discussion I observed in the WordPress forums, some of my template tags aren't working -- I'm getting the feeling that all the actions and filters I added just before release are coming back to bite me.

The .pot will be coming along with version 0.1.2 (Expect it soon after 6th September) -- I just have to generate the .pot file, the code itself has all the translations initiated.

I'm looking forward the development of this plugin. Localization is a must. I'll send you the french PO/MO files once you deliver the original POT.

Big suggestions:
*More vanilla template files (don't rely on "default template" functions)
*Check for template files in current theme folder first, then fall back on your defaults

I would need this right away, and would work on it myself, but I need to know if you're getting a new version out soon. I "could" wait...
